How to add food menu in Hotel/PMS/Restaurant Software

Steps to Add Menu

  1. Go to Master Module
  2. Click on Food Master
  3. Open Group Master List
    • Click Add New to create a group (if not already available)
    • Tick the checkboxes on the right side for the required Property
    • Example: If you tick the Restaurant Property, the group will be visible only in that restaurant’s tables
  4. Open Sub Group Master List
    • Click Add New to create a subgroup (if required)
    • Tick the checkboxes for the relevant Property (same logic as above)
  5. Open Menu List
    • Click Add New to add a new item (or edit existing items if needed)
    • Fill the following details:
      • Group
      • Sub Group
      • Menu Name (Item Name)
      • Short Name (if applicable)
      • Category (Default: Food)
      • Unit
      • Sale Account (GST) – Typically 5% for food (or as per tax slab)
      • Cess Account – Usually 0% (or as per property)
      • Surcharge / Service Charge – 0% (or as per property)
      • Veg / Non-Veg selection
  6. Add Rates on the right-hand side (Property-wise):
    • F/L – Full Plate
    • H/M – Half Plate
    • Q/S – Quarter Plate
    • (Rates should be entered excluding GST)
